Technology(Information Systems) PhD

2023~

Hello! 👋

I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Technology Group at Stern.

I study the economics and governance of AI

My research examines (i) how AI creates economic value, and

(ii) how governance mechanisms should be designed to allocate that value across stakeholders.

One stream of my research studies how generative AI creates value in creative and digital markets. I examine when AI-assisted visuals improve advertising performance and how creators’ adoption of generative AI changes the production, diversity, and distribution of content on digital platforms.

The creation of new value raises a corresponding governance question: How should the resulting economic value be allocated? A second stream of my research examines the governance of AI assets, including the design of licenses and compensation mechanisms for copyright owners and data providers whose content is used in AI training.

Outside of academics, I enjoy photography and often capture moments with my Canon camera. If you're interested in seeing my work, feel free to visit my Instagram photography account.
